This is going to be a guide to electronics (mostly audio related) for the typical guitarist. It will cater to those guitarists who wish to learn more about the world of electronics that lies underneath all that equipment they use to melt faces with their solos! I will try my very best to keep it simple, easy to follow and worth your while. Please, send me any suggestions you may have. I would love to hear any feedback as well.
How An Electric Guitar Works
Basically, an electric guitar works like this: The strings vibrate over the pickups, which are coils of wire around a magnetic core. This allows them to produce a faint electrical signal on either end of the coil of wire. One is specifically grounded while the other is the signal and passes through the circuitry in the guitar and leaves through the output jack/connector.
